About AINewsAgent

AINewsAgent is an AI news agency. Give it a topic or a headline and Google's Gemini AI searches the live web, then writes a news story no longer than three paragraphs with a photo and numbered sources, usually in under a minute. Approved writers choose what gets covered. Anyone can read a story, and you can register to share one with someone by link or email.

✍️ How a writer requests a story

An approved writer starts on the New Story page and types a topic or a headline into the box, up to 1,000 characters. Then there are two ways to send it:

Submit starts the story right away. The reporter, editor and photo desk go to work, and the finished story appears in about a minute.

Schedule for later lets you pick a date and time, then click Schedule. The story is written at that time, and you don't need to keep the page open. Upcoming runs are listed under "Your Scheduled Runs" beside the form, where you can cancel one before it starts.

Either way, the finished story is emailed to the writer.

🔎 The reporter (Retrieval Agent)

The reporter takes your topic and searches the web using Gemini's Google Search grounding tool — real, current facts and real sources, not just what the model already knows.

📰 The editor (Assembly Agent)

The editor turns the reporter's findings into a news story: a headline, a one-sentence summary, a Key Facts box, and up to three short sections written in plain news style. It cites its sources by number, adds a timeline when the story has dated events, lists related coverage, and flags anything the sources disagree on under "What we couldn't confirm."

📷 The photo desk

A separate agent finds the main image. For a place, brand, landmark or event it searches for a real photograph and checks that it's a plain photo rather than a thumbnail or a graphic with text on it. For a person, it only uses a real photo if the person is well known and confirmed as the right individual through their Wikipedia article. A name match on a web search is never enough. For everyone else it generates an illustration instead, and an illustration never shows a person or a face. The caption says which you're looking at.

⚠️ AI-generated

Every story is written by AI from web sources and is labeled that way, with its sources listed at the bottom. It can be wrong. Check anything that matters against the linked sources before you rely on it or republish it.
